Two Volume Set: A community history of the village of Quill Lake and its surrounding rural district, this volume documents local development from 1903 to 1983. The book includes short essays on the nearby settlements of Wimmer, Clair, and Scrip, as well as the Gardenia Post Office, and provides individual accounts of numerous school districts, including Bradburn, Crocus Vale, Gardenia, Hacienda, Hunters Hill, Islay, Kingscourt, Clair, MacMahon, Park Villa, Quill Lake, Quill Lake View, Scrip, Selkirk, Sigstad, Twin Creek, Valley Plain, Westasta, Wimmer, and Wooler. Additional chapters address local churches, businesses, clubs and organizations, an honour roll, farming, and land ownership. The majority of the volume is devoted to family histories contributed by area residents.
