Saskatchewan Homecoming ’71 was a province-wide tourism initiative organized by the Saskatchewan Tourist Association and the provincial Department of Industry and Commerce. Planned from 1968, the year-long program sought to attract visitors, encourage former residents to return, and involve local communities in promoting their history and recreational attractions. Celebrations across the province included family reunions, parades, sporting events, and community gatherings.
