Notes

Peter and Elfrieda Dyck, recount the dramatic postwar efforts to assist displaced Mennonite communities in the aftermath of the Second World War. Drawing on their work with the Mennonite Central Committee, the authors describe relief and resettlement activities carried out in England, Holland, Germany, and Paraguay, with particular attention to European and Russian Mennonite refugees escaping the devastation of war. Both authors were themselves émigrés from Russia to Canada in childhood, and their personal histories inform the narrative as well.
