Notes

Herman Linder (1907–2001) was one of Canada's most accomplished rodeo competitors, winning a record twenty-two championships at the Calgary Stampede and helping to shape the professional development of rodeo in Canada through his later work as a producer and organizer. This biography traces his life from his youth in Wisconsin and southern Alberta through his competitive career, international exhibitions, and subsequent contributions to rodeo administration and promotion. While centred on Linder's rodeo career, the book also records his family life, ranching background, and activities beyond competition.
