Notes

Published four times a year by the University of Alberta, “The Western Canadian Journal of Anthropology” (formerly, "Alberta Anthropologist") dedicated the first issue of each new year to a specifically Canadian topic. This issue contains 11 articles by archaeologists, historians, and academics that discuss various aspects of the fur trade in Canada. Many authors focus on the fur trade’s economic, social, and religious impacts on First Nations communities. Articles include endnotes and bibliographies. The volume also includes book reviews as well as critical feedback regarding previous issues.
