Notes

A regimental history of the 46th Canadian Infantry Battalion, raised at Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, in 1914 and disbanded in 1919. Drawing recruits from across western and eastern Canada, the battalion served on the Western Front during the First World War.

The volume traces the unit’s formation, training, and active service, including its participation in major engagements such as Vimy Ridge, the Somme, Amiens, and Passchendaele. It records the heavy casualties sustained by the battalion, in which a large proportion of those who served were killed or wounded, and documents the experiences of its members throughout the war.
