Notes

This publication presents the reminiscences of William Thorneycroft “Bill” Lofts, written by his wife Anne Mitchell Lofts and transcribed by Isale Carol Johnson. Born in 1902 in South Africa, Lofts immigrated to Canada with his family and settled in the Midnight Lake district of northwestern Saskatchewan. A prominent businessman in Glaslyn, he later served as the Liberal MLA for Meadow Lake from 1948 to 1952. The memoir also offers valuable historical insights into the early businesses, community life, and residents of Glaslyn.
