Silver Sage : Bow Island 1900-1920

Silver Sage is the community history of Bow Island, Alberta, with an emphasis on the pioneers, homesteaders, and ranching families who settled the district before 1920. It includes brief historical essays on the surrounding rural school districts of Carnegie, Cherry Coulee, Courtland Hill, Good Cheer, Haycroft, Lansdell, Rosemount, Sampson, Selz, and Sunnymeade, together with accounts of local businesses, churches, grain elevators and grain handling companies, community organizations, sporting activities, and municipal government. The greater part of the volume is devoted to family histories documenting the settlement and development of the district.
