This volume contains a community history of six school districts located in Saskatchewan's Rural Municipality of Hillsdale #440 (southeast of Lloydminster): Carruthers, Cosy Nook, Flat Lake, Lilydale, Reading, and Summer. Family histories contributed by area residents are grouped by district, and some sections begin with a historical overview of the area. Following the histories, the book includes an Honor Roll as well as collections of photographs and anecdotes covering transportation, agriculture, municipal amenities, and minutiae of past life. Includes "Land History" list (showing homesteaders and owners of each quarter section) and index.
