Notes

Founded in 1894 in Lethbridge as the Old Timers Association, the club brought together pre-1886 settlers for social events and community support. Over time, it evolved through several names—eventually becoming the Pioneer Pemmican Club—while maintaining its core purpose: fostering fellowship, preserving regional history, and assisting members. Constitutions from 1915 to 1985 formalized these goals, while membership rules gradually expanded from original settlers to later residents and their descendants, with age and eligibility requirements becoming more inclusive. Included are many photographs of early days and chapters related to the evolution of the club, pioneers before 1889, pioneers and descendants from 1910 through to 1983 and family histories.
