Notes

A companion volume to the stage production Paper Wheat, developed by the actors and director of Saskatoon’s 25th Street Theatre. The play portrays the experiences of early prairie settlers and the emergence of cooperative grain handling movement (Wheat Pool) in Saskatchewan. The book includes the complete text of the play and its musical score, together with an essay by former provincial archivist John Archer outlining the history of the cooperative movement in the province. Additional contributions by Don Kerr recount the development and production of the play and include recollections by original cast member Bob Bainborough.
