Notes

Compiled by long-time local resident Jacob G. Guenter, this history of Mennonites living in the Steele School District area (now part of Prairie Spirit No. 206 [?], near Hepburn) is full of photos, illustrations, and maps. The text is divided into many vignettes dedicated to particular topics or figures, and constitutes a social history of Mennonite culture and immigration in the region. An eclectic collection of family histories and genealogies, and a resource for tracing the lives of Saskatchewan Mennonites in the early/mid-1900s.
