An autobiographical account of ranch life beginning in 1944 at the Cruickshank Ranch near Beechy, Saskatchewan. The author recounts her marriage to John Minor and their work establishing and operating a large cattle ranching enterprise, later extending to ownership of the Chilco Ranch in the Chilcotin region of British Columbia. Following her husband’s death in an airplane accident, she assumed responsibility for ranch management. The narrative traces these experiences through to the mid-1970s.
