Notes

A collection of approximately thirty interconnected stories by Frances Lackey Paul depicting the daily life of a Tlingit child in the late nineteenth century. Written originally for the author’s students, the narratives draw upon Tlingit social structure, customs, oral traditions, and domestic life, and are based in part on the historical figure Kahtahah. This revised edition includes additional material explaining the Tlingit tribal system and related cultural background. Illustrated by Rie Munoz.
