Notes

A biographical account of Henry Kelsey, an early English trader and explorer whose travels helped extend the reach of the Hudson’s Bay Company into the interior of western Canada. The book follows Kelsey’s journeys from the trading posts of the north into the open plains, where he ventured farther inland than any European before him. In doing so, he became the first recorded outsider to reach what are now the Canadian Prairies.
