Proceedings of the 1968 Ottawa symposium devoted to the geology, geophysics, and environmental history of the Hudson Bay region. Issued under the auspices of the Geological Survey of Canada and associated scientific committees of the National Research Council, the volume gathers specialist papers on the exploration, stratigraphy, palaeontology, oceanography, and crustal structure of Hudson Bay and the surrounding lowlands. Subjects treated include glacial and post-glacial history, seismic and magnetic surveys, sedimentation, bedrock geology, river systems, mantle structure, and geophysical modelling, together with studies of the Hudson Bay Lowlands and related field investigations in Manitoba and northern Canada.
