Notes

A later (1980) printing of the standard agricultural manual first issued in 1957 and revised in 1967, this edition incorporates the work of the W. C. McDonald Research Station, Winnipeg, with contributions from plant pathologists stationed at Morden, Saskatoon, Edmonton, Lacombe, and Lethbridge. The volume surveys the principal diseases affecting field crops in the Prairie Provinces, outlining their occurrence, relative economic significance, and recommended methods of control. As stated in the introduction, its purpose is “to describe the most common diseases of field crops grown in the Prairie Provinces, to indicate their relative economic importance, and to give recommendations for their control.”
