Notes

Community history of the Alford district in central Saskatchewan, centred on the former Alford post office, established in 1900 at the home of Percy A. and Mrs. Alford and operating until 1945. The district, situated approximately 15 kilometres northwest of Wiseton and 25 kilometres northeast of Dinsmore, is represented through the histories of the Hester, Milan, Orvill, Poplar Butte, and Coteau View school districts. The volume is devoted primarily to biographical sketches and family histories of the area's early settlers.
