Notes

Text from the Foreword reads, "As a result of the inquiries received and the ever-increasing interest in the Natural Resources and Industrial Development Of Alberta, it was decided to publish some facts and figures relevant to the province in hope that these provide information for industrialists, producers and distributors so that they will be able to determine from the figures given for the the province as a whole and by territorial and regional division, the market potentialities of certain areas for goods and services at their disposal.
The publication covers the wide fields of agriculture, minerals forestry, fur, fisheries, manufacturing industries, trade markets and miscellaneous statistics, and furnishes an answer as to what Alberta produces for market and plans for the future development, especially in the realm of industry.
The publication does not cover to a great extent a record of activities carried on by government departments and other agencies in matters of amenities of life available in the fields of education, public health, public welfare, railways, telephones, etc. ..."
