Notes

A community history of Dilke, Saskatchewan, a village located west of Last Mountain Lake and east of Chamberlain along Highway 733. The volume opens with concise essays on the settlement and development of the region, followed by chapters on the surrounding rural municipalities, early transportation, and the arrival of the Canadian Pacific Railway. Additional sections address business development (1911–1980), the grain trade, the post office, the local co-operative, commercial fishing, area churches, and the neighbouring school districts (Ellerslie, Edwards, Goldridge, Kenockee, Taft, Two Tree Point, and Wilkie Bay). Further material covers Last Mountain beaches and resorts, as well as various reminiscences. The work is supplemented by numerous family histories contributed by residents and includes an Honour Roll.
