Jamie Russell is a wood sculptor and furniture builder from Vanscoy, Saskatchewan. This exhibition catalogue was published as part of a 2009 exhibit of Russell’s work at Saskatoon’s Mendel Art Gallery. The volume contains more than two dozen photos – many full-page – of Russell’s art, particularly his animal-infused furniture pieces. A short statement by Russell and a longer essay by gallery curator Stephen Hogbin reflect on Russell’s influences and style.
