Condition

A well-used copy, showing heavy evidence of kitchen use. Moisture staining and kitchen splatters throughout. Text block nearly detached from the cover boards, held by fragile binding remnants. Several pages repaired with aged, yellowing cello tape. Pages and cover boards age-tanned. Shadowing from laid-in materials visible. Scattered handwritten annotations throughout. Final six leaves, intended for manuscript recipes, are fully inscribed in ink.

Published in 1925 by what is now known as the Knox-Metropolitan United Church (Regina, Saskatchewan), is a general-purpose cook book, with recipes contributed by members of the congregation. Assumed to be published as a fund raiser the book carries advertising from local and national merchants.
