A reference work bringing together nearly a century and a half of published material on the province’s geology. Compiled as a replacement for the revised 1967 edition of Report No. 9 (previously prepared by Kupsch with Michael D. Wright), this volume substantially updates and expands the scope of the earlier bibliography.
The citations are organized alphabetically by author and are accompanied by brief annotations that function as extended titles, clarifying the nature and focus of each work rather than summarizing its scientific conclusions. Multiple access points are provided through indexes arranged by geographic area and by subject, allowing users to locate material efficiently. Published geological maps and descriptive well logs relating to any portion of the stratigraphic record are indexed separately.
To aid geographical reference, the bibliography includes an index map of Saskatchewan based on the National Topographic System, as well as a geological map of the province. Both are reproduced at a larger scale than in earlier iterations of Report No. 9, allowing for the incorporation of more recent and detailed data.
