Notes

This volume contains a community history of St. Laszlo’s Parish (near the village of Prud’Homme, in Saskatchewan’s Rural Municipality of Bayne #371). The book consists mainly of family histories pertaining to – or contributed by – the area’s early homesteaders and current/former residents. Acknowledging the Hungarian and Catholic background of many residents, the book includes sections on Hungarian immigration to Canada in the early 1900s as well as St. Laszlo Catholic Church. Topical chapters on local schools, social life, and veterans also appear. Family photos and copies of historical documents appear liberally throughout.
