Wilf Perreault : In The Alley

A lavishly produced retrospective celebrating one of Saskatchewan’s most beloved painters, Wilf Perreault: In the Alley serves as the companion volume to the MacKenzie Art Gallery’s career-spanning exhibition. Perreault has devoted much of his career to a single, deceptively modest subject—the urban back alley—transforming it into a site of quiet beauty and reflection.

This richly illustrated volume features more than one hundred full-colour reproductions of Perreault’s paintings, rendered with the meticulous detail that has become his hallmark. Alongside these images are essays exploring the artist’s place within the tradition of Saskatchewan art, as well as eleven pieces of prose and poetry from Saskatchewan writers inspired by his work.
