The Report Of The Advisory Planning Committee On Medical Care To The Saskatchewan Government

A report arising from the work of the Advisory Planning Committee on Medical Care, chaired by W. P. Thompson, examining the organization and future development of health services in Saskatchewan. Prepared during the province’s move toward universal medical insurance, the study reviews existing health programs, outlines recommendations for a publicly administered medical care plan based on universal coverage and fee-for-service physician payment, and was used by the provincial government in shaping and implementing Saskatchewan’s medical care insurance legislation of the early 1960s.
