Notes

In 1978, the Mennonite Conference of Alberta asked C. L. Dick (of Medicine Hat; an eventual Canadian Mennonite Bible College board member) to prepare a history of the Conference’s congregations and organizations by combining material submitted by individuals and churches with his own research. The book begins with a brief Conference history, followed by chapters detailing nearly 20 churches (many in central and southern Alberta, some closed). Some congregational histories contain lists of ministers, pictures of church buildings and participants, and financial/demographic data. Dick also includes material on Mennonite schools, senior’s homes, and youth organizations, as well as pockets of information about Mennonite immigration and settlement in Alberta.
