Notes

After Saskatchewan joined Canada as a province in 1905, construction began on the provincial legislative building. This pamphlet commemorates the laying of the building’s cornerstone in the fall of 1909 by the Earl Grey (then, Governor General of Canada). It includes a programme of events, texts of songs sung during the ceremonies, and a lengthy list of invited politicians and judiciary figures. A memento of an early political ceremony in Saskatchewan following the province’s entry into Confederation.
