Notes

This volume contains a community history of the village of Macrorie (in Saskatchewan’s Rural Municipality of Fertile Valley #285) and its surrounding area. The volume opens with historical overviews of the village (also Tichfield and Juniper) and municipality, followed by topical chapters on local agriculture, churches, events, governance, and community organizations. A lengthy section detailing 11 nearby school districts (Big Valley, Bratton, Goodwill, Lake Coteau, Macrorie, Monmawala, Mount Marie, Picadilly, Surbiton, West Point, and West Star) also appears. Most of the volume consists of family histories contributed by area residents. Includes index, cemetery lists (Bethania Lutheran, Lake Coteau, Macrorie), and Hounour Roll.
