Notes

This volume contains a community history of Candle Lake (in Saskatchewan’s Rural Municipality of Paddockwood #520, north of Prince Albert). The first half of the volume offers a historical overview of the area’s development and civic expansion, as well as topical chapters covering local churches, community services, schools, and organizations. Chapters on trapping, fishing, tourism, and Candle Lake Provincial Park showcase the area as a resort village (in the present) and a site of northern traplines (in the past). The second half of the volume contains family histories by seasonal and year-round residents. Includes index and an Honour Roll.
