Notes

William (Bill) Hoffer (1944–1997), the noted Canadian antiquarian bookseller later based in Vancouver, contributes a single poem to this student-run literary journal, Five after Five. Born and raised on the Canadian Prairies, Hoffer attended the University of Saskatchewan in the early 1960s, where this early work appeared. Best known for his outspoken views on Canadian publishing and his influential role in the rare book trade, this contribution marks a rare example of his youthful creative writing.
