Emeralds: Past in Prose, Poetry and Pictures is a large, community-compiled local history of Emerald Municipality No. 277 in Saskatchewan. Created through a collective effort to preserve the region’s heritage, the book brings together stories, memories, and reflections from residents past and present. It chronicles early settlement on the Day Star Reservation and surrounding districts, capturing the lives of pioneers and homesteaders, family histories, and the rhythms of rural community life. The volume features personal narratives, prose and poetry by local contributors, historic photographs, and homestead maps.
