Notes

The Saskatchewan Indian Federated College ([SIFC]; now First Nations University of Canada) was founded in 1976 in partnership with the University of Regina. Its three Saskatchewan campuses offer a variety of programs with a particular focus on First Nations academic and cultural concerns. This 1983-1984 yearbook pertains to SIFC’s Social Work program (one of the College’s founding disciplines). The yearbook includes portraits of the Department’s faculty, staff, and students (including convocation photos), well-wishes from SIFC and Saskatchewan First Nations leaders, lists of student body council and committee members, and candid photos from Department events. The booklet also outlines SIFC’s Social Work program requirements, lists previous Social Work graduates, and describes an agreement allowing SIFC students to complete their practicum in Chile.
