Weldon, Saskatchewan developed in the late 1890s as an agricultural settlement serving surrounding farms. The Shannonville and Windermere school districts were among the early one-room rural schools. Churches, community organizations, clubs, and local businesses formed the social and economic heart of the district. Pioneer family stories, photographs, and memories of daily life are preserved in the community history
