A community history of Indian Head, Saskatchewan, situated east of Regina along the Trans-Canada Highway, documenting the growth and evolution of the town and its surrounding district. The volume includes concise accounts of neighbouring localities and school districts, among them Fair Play, Glen Lynn, Interlake, Jubilee, Katepwa Lake, Marguerite, Red Fox, Rose Valley, Sunny Slope, Squirrel Hills, and the Wide Awake School Districts.
Chapters address the Rural Municipality of Indian Head No. 156, the development of agriculture in the district, and the establishment of key federal institutions including the Experimental Farm, Forest Nursery Station, and Entomology Laboratory. Additional sections survey local churches, health care services, community organizations, sports, and recreational life.
The greater portion of the work is devoted to family histories of area residents. An Honour Roll is included.
