Graham Spry contested two federal elections as a CCF candidate: a 1934 by-election in the riding of Toronto East and the 1935 general election in the Broadview constituency. The 1935 contest was the first full federal general election in which the CCF participated, fielding candidates in 121 of 245 ridings and securing seven seats. Spry finished third in Broadview.
